10 Things to do instead of Homecoming

HOMECOMING!!

Wow that's a big subject to handle.

NOT ASKED OR NOT GOING TO HOMECOMING?

That's an even greater subject to handle but I'm going to try my best!! Homecoming is the first dance of the high school year-- It's fun, exciting, and yet stressful at the same time lol. Its the dance always shown in movies. Homecoming King and Queen are usually on cheer or football or are somehow the most perfect human beings *Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior I'm thinking of you :)

With that being said, I feel like Homecoming is a little overrated. Yes, it's an amazing night of dancing, a pretty dress and a nice date! But it's also: Just a dance. One night. A couple hours.

The reason I made this blog post and youtube video about homecoming is because HOMECOMING DOESN'T DEFINE WHO YOU ARE OR YOUR WORTH. Guy or girl. freshman or senior. So for all of you dashing young souls who aren't attending homecoming or you are, here are some ideas of activities to do that night:

1. Spend the night at a hotel with some friends!

2. Dress up fancy and have an outdoor picnic dinner in your backyard

3. Eat Ben & Jerry's bc who else doesn't like dropping a good $5 for 3 scoops of ice cream ;-)

4. Scary movie night! You've gotta get that adrenaline rush in somehow...

5. Make a music video

6. Snap Chat hide n seek (send a 10 sec snap every 1 min. Lowest snaps needed wins)

7. Rearrange your room and add some new decor

8. Hang out at the mall. Try on ridiculously expensive clothes and get your makeup done. Then eat at the food court.

9. Go on a photo shoot. Takes turns being the photographer to see all the different pics you can get!

10. Find anyone and everyone to party in your backyard!!! Light it up, Streamers for $1, cater some chicken wings and pizza, jump in the pool at the end. movie worthy? yes.

Is this more fun than homecoming? That depends on YOU. No negative Nelly ever had fun at Disneyland. And positive Patty had fun with one balloon. You have that same power to decide how your evening goes. I highly suggest watching my youtube video on this subject if you haven't already!! Have FUN!
